Bang! A new - and hopefully vibrant and glamourous - brandnew year has just fired up all of his potentially glorious expectations into the sky. Time for me to wish you and - all the other empathic lifeforms in the Universe - the very best for 2011 and beyond. Chin-Chin! /.-)

I decided to dedicate the new year to timelessness itself and present you a free download to one of the rarest pieces of Music Software ever. The PXL9000 Sniper is a so-called MOD for the infamous ReBirth 2.0.1 which just had an amazing Comeback due to recent IPad and IPhone ports of this little Rave-O-Lution (It really was one back in 1997). While the original ReBirth is well-known for his Techno- and Electro-Vibes, the PXL9000 MOD is a total different set of sounds. It was designed to create wicked Drill’n’Bass and TechStep Tunes with a very slick vibe. The following Demo-Track (included in the Mod) was produced with the PXL9000 Sniper and nothing else. Wait for the last half of the track where the drumrolls kick in to see what this little monster can do. Achtung! Don’t forget to read the included TXT-file to see how this Mod is operated.

TRIVIA: The PXL9000 Sniper features some dedicated Sound-Design by Daniel Myer & myself while the graphical aspects where meticously designed by Planet Pixel (Now separated into two equal forces Planet Pixel and The Pixelz) with a great sense for detail. In order to operate and install this Mod you will need the original ReBirth 2.0.1 Program which is free to download and use since a couple of years now (if you didn’t notice). Its still worth a grab. Get the MAC and PC version over here.

This was my contribution to the short heatwave of 2010. “Phänomenologie” is one of this rare tracks that obviosuly come out of unconscious sources and have their own quality of timelessness. As a musician it gives you the feeling that you where not envolved in the process, as if it came through the window and went right in to the machines. If I listen to it now I notice that it resembles the spirit of today’s Dubstep but with very supressed Beats (actually the PCF-Filter of ReBirth 2). So, open your windows and play this (duh) “summertune” to your neighbours at full volume. They won’t stop you since they might not be able to move their bodies in this bloody heat…  [the person who can tell me from which movie this image above is, wins a free MP3 “Deconcentration Now Begun…” Sampler, where “Phänomenologie” was featured first] Bob Humid - Phaenomenologie by SERVEANDDESTROY
